There are many reasons for drinking soda, and none of them have to do with health!
It quenches thirst, it’s available everywhere, and let’s not forget it tastes good!
It can be harmful to your health and well-being and contributes to obesity.
A single 12-ounce can has as much as 13 teaspoons of sugar in the form of high-fructose corn syrup, and if you think the diet version is better, think again.
One study reveals that people who drink diet soda daily are almost three times more likely to “develop stroke or dementia”.
“Drinking a 12-ounce soda every day can increase your risk of having a heart attack by 20%. If you down two or three a day, you will damage your heart even more” according to Men’s Journal.
The poison in diet soda is the artificial sweetener aspartame.
It’s used because it’s about 200 times sweeter than table sugar.
When consuming aspartame, it breaks down into components which further convert to formaldehyde and formic acid, which are known carcinogens.
