Creative Thinking Techniques Help Your Brain!

It’s nice to be creative and organized, isn’t it?
I learned a couple of years ago how to create home decor from liquor bottles, and while it was a fun process, I’m over it!
I made 20 – 30 bottles, and gave most of my beautiful creations and supplies away.
Some people were born to craft and always have new and exciting ideas!
Creating blog posts and online graphics are what gets my creative juices flowing!
We all find our own creativity in different ways.
Scientific American says that “practicing creative-thinking techniques could improve anyone’s health by lowering stress and exercising the brain.” Good news!
Sometimes, it’s tough to come up with creative ideas.
I ran across a short TED Talk regarding how to find a creative idea.
According to research by behavioral and learning scientist Marily Oppezzo, “getting up and going for a walk might be all it takes to get your creative juices flowing“.
In this fun, fast talk, she explains how walking could help you get the most out of your next brainstorm.

1. Pick a problem / Subject for brainstorm
2. Walk at comfortable pace while brainstorming
3. Come up with as many ideas as you can
4. Speak and record your ideas
5. Cap your time
I have come up with many creative ideas when exercising, which is one reason I love to exercise.
